Most large agricultural and farmers taps (often stamped “3/4” on the body) actually have a 7/8 BSP thread. However, in some cases this does not fit - if this happens to you then you need a metric  M30 connector

How to check if you need the M30 version

Measure the outlet thread on your tap:

• Major diameter ≈ 30 mm
• Pitch = 1.5 mm (use a thread pitch gauge)

If it matches, this is the correct connector. The “3/4” marking on most farmers taps usually refers to the inlet size, not the hose outlet thread.

This M30x1.5 connector will ONLY fit taps with an M30 × 1.5 metric thread on the outlet.

Many large farmers taps and agricultural bib taps are stamped “3/4”, but this usually refers to the inlet size. The outlet thread can be either:

• M30x1.5 metric (this product), or
• 7/8 BSP (use our sister product instead)

How to check before ordering:

• Measure the outside diameter of the thread on your tap – it should be approximately 30 mm.
• Use a thread pitch gauge – it must read 1.5 mm pitch.
